long ass thread titles and emoticons ftw
This is a broad topic, if a non-bias source was explaining hip-hop music, what notable artist, songs, events should be/would be mentioned? Would the overall genre be viewed negatively or positvely?

Ok well by then all of this music would be golden oldies. In more recent future we are going to see some strange things we've never seen before......like 70 year old rappers....lol

Will Hip-Hop be relevant enough to have a special about that far in the future?
If it will be, Kool Herc, Rakim, BDK, G Rap, 2Pac, Biggie, Dr. Dre and NWA, Jay, Nas, Kanye West, Public Enemy and Outkast will be mentioned as far as impact and influence on the culture, the art form, and it's commercial success.

lmao you stay making these long titled threads
Public Enemy will always be showed. The images of hundreds of blacks marching in the streets is just too powerful. Hip Hop was on some OTHER stuff (trying to refrain from cursing) back then. They would talk about It Takes A Nation and Yo! Bum Rush the Show...I can see them talking about The Roots...Nas and Illmatic (like thats his only great album smh), Jay-Z and Nas...I'm sure its some others but I don't feel like doing no titangraphs lol.
Now as far as whether the portrayal of Hip Hop is positive or not, I really think it depends on who does it. I would like to think that Hip Hop would be shown in a positive light.

They would talk about how the first rapper was Rock singer Blondie and how the Beastie Boys and Rick Rubin was the first to kick off the movement with success. How Vanilla Ice was a beast and sold more than anyone else up until Eminem came on the scene and became the greatest Hip Hop artist of all-time.
