Who would be your label's flagship artist

I would say Pac. He made versatile records, appealed to all fan bases and I would make money whether he lived or died.

Purely from I financial standpoint, I would choose Eminem cause he'll always sell millions of records regardless of the climate of the industry

I'm also going with Eminem. In any era, market, or coast, he will sell, single-handedly keeping our label afloat.

Aftermath isnt that great of a label. They jus rely on 50, Dre and Em. They let too many good artist get away cause they wuldnt release there album.ROFL_GUY wrote:EM - rappin - DRE producing

Re: If you had a label, who would be your flagship artist (dead/alive or any time period)
i would go with
BIG
JAY-Z
KANYE
2PAC
EMINEM/aftermath
in that order, every1 above ruled the game at a time but i believe BIG would even be bigger than Jay right now... but kanye is bigger than Jay now too tho, and 2pac sold a lot of records he knew how to make hits, and Em in 1999-2003 was not to be fucked with skill and saleswise, and he still has that white boy stanbase who'll always make him go plat lol

Re: If you had a label, who would be your flagship artist (dead/alive or any time period)
Man, I'd sign my man Pac with Nas as my backup plan.
Pac wasnt the best lyricist, nor did he have the CRAZIEST flow. But the man knew music, his strengths, what he wanted and he thought big. He was a great songwriter and he was just great.
He would sell huge because he wore his emotions on his sleeve, made records that anybody could relate to and had a larger than life persona. He was passionate about what he did.
Plus if Pac was alive, a lot of rappers wouldnt be doing what theyre doing now.
Lol Mike D and I were discussing this on The Reason over the weekend I believe. He said he'd chose Big and I said Pac.
Yall can keep Eminem lol but Pac had the white kids turned out lol. Pac would attract every race and maybe gender. I can see a lot of women of ethnicity coppin Pacs records...the white ones, I dont know...lmao

Eminem would in the short run be the one to bring the most money but in the long run Pac offers unquestionable versatility. He got billboards and murals from rio de janiero to Los Angeles to Beijjing. Over time, most of em's catalogue will get dated whereas pac will be gettin bumped in 2109. Imagine what kind of numbers pac would have done during that couple year run when em was doing 9 mil and nelly was doing 9 mil etc...pac wouldve done 20 mil. plus, pac aint scared to diss anyone. man, woman, president, whoever.
