Universal Health Care-good idea or not?

How do you feel about Universal healthcare in the U.S. ? What effects do you think it will have on the health care system? Do you think we should fashion it around pre-established ideas i.e. Ireland, Britain, Canada, or Massachusetts.

Yes, its the right and humane thing to do. Other countries that have universal health care prove it is a successful system.

Not hating on it but over in Britain, (i have a few relatives there) they say that even going to the doc for common shit like a cold or a checkup can take weeks and months because they are so backlogged. Would this bother you if it was free?

Thats whats up...never heard of a canadian's experience with it. good looking. I heard Ireland's is the best. Everyone pays into it but at the end of thr year, whatever that didnt get used gets divvied back out to everyonr...kinda like american tax checks.

wouldnt bother me if it was free

It might take a while for it to work in America, because yall have a huge population and part of that population has been making a business out of peoples' lives for so long now that there's an uproar against any other type of healthcare system.

I'm happy I live in Canada. It works just fine for me up here.

It might take a while, but it's worth it. Too many people are suffering and can't afford the care that they need.

It'll be great for the states. Maybe obesity and other things infecting this country would go down. Its crazy when i see all the chicks I went to school with have gained massiva amounts of weight

that's the excuse right? People are so afraid of being a socialist nation that they reject any idea that's even remotely related...but real talk Universal Health care would be fantastic.
