Mine too and as much as I believe he should be somewhere on the list, I still would take him off for Eminem and I would put 50 cent in front of Jeezy also. 50 Cent def put in more work then Jeezy this year but they basing Jeezy spot on the AMW tour and My President Is Black lol That's how MTV get down. I don't understand why anyone would take a list made by MTV seriously. It's just musical product placement. "Hottest" = "Popular right now with the kids", not "who's the most skilled MC out right now", "who had the best album/song this year" or even at this point, "who sold the most".

At least it's a nod that "Best MC Alive" isn't dictated by who sold the most, like it's been for the last 10 years.

I didn't really see Jadakiss having a huge impact to make the MTV "hot" list they probably wasn't even thinking about Jadakiss but it surprise me that they put Raekwon on there. I didn't think they would even acknowledge him.

Jadakiss album was a good album, one of the best if you ask me, but as we can see they don't base the list on quality albums and music, just popularity.

This is the most comical list ever.....although I'm not disagreeing too heavy with the top 5 as much as I have in the past but all them ppl under 5 is unbelievable to me.

Jadakiss and Fabolous should be neck to neck on the list, I think they put Gucci Mane on the list just to put him in front of Jeezy and stir up some drama

Raekwon made the list because they probably didn't want his goons coming up in MTV punching niggaz out.

Joe Budden should of got on the list for being the nigga that took the punch and then blogged about it with a ice pack on.

These are just jokes fam, I'm just saying this based on the buffoonery shit MTV base their list on.

I don't care how fake the list is.....its meaningful in ways because the actual mtv fans look at this and decide who music they wanna start buying and listen to and the rappers be taking this list to heart also.

So if Lil Wayne saw himself on the list at number 1 again he might have hit the studio and made his Rock album a Double CD.

I kinda disagree, For 1 its n MTV list! plus they mean hot not illest. So sure, Jay z,Drake, Wayne Kanye and Rick Ross are everywhere on collabs, comercials, radio, interviews, whatever the fuck. But WHY cant the Corner make a top ten Illest in the game right now? Meaning whatever the emcee touches he makes hot or kills everybody on it and is repping his rhyme right. Better than letting this machine tell us who;s hot. I mean I cant front an say the people who pick dont know shit about hiphop but I know they wouldnt put Termanology on that list or any other emcee who's heating up. 1

As far as Em he'll probably be #1 next yr will be #1 next year....I'm willing to put money on that. Every one on that last has a buzz that has been somewhat consistent since late quarter of last year. Eminem JUST came back. Outside of the internet, MTV, "the warning" and "forever", was anybody really talking about him? When you go outside did you hear "Relapse" from anybody's cars? Do you know any friends that own it? He had the highest selling album this year and has a huge following but all those people had a bigger buzz ....
