I dont know too much about anime but I used to watch naruto. The new naruto shippuden is very unfocused though, I think the creator must be losing it.

I Follow Naruto religously. I think the creator is just stringing the strory along for something bigger. If you read the Manga you will see how he is developing Sasuke to me a Bad Ass for that showdown against Naruto.

But there were was so much stuff that he added on, a lot of akatsuki felt like they were just random strong enemies that they needed to kill. Then Naruto gets a power-up all of a sudden, its all so scattered. I honestly liked the whole Pein backstory though and some of the uchiha clashing.

The Pein story was extremely good. What my problem with the series is at first they were always focused at a team sense and they all had there advantages and disadvantages. Now in pt. 2. They make it seem like Naruto and Sasukle run the Ninja world and everyone else was chillin at the crib eating potatoe chips.

See I think it started off as more of a family story. There is the ninja family of Konoha and naruto's friends and teachers and rivals and we just wanted to see how everything is connected. The magical and ninja stuff is an added bonus to keep things interesting. The second part is all scattered, its not really a family story. First they have to fight this puppet guy and then they fight these other random dudes and power up abruptly and its all like WTF just focus!

I think Naruto is a manga with great artwork and great concepts (clans, kekkei genkai, chakra, etc.) that's poorly executed. Half the time I'm reading it like, "Oh GTFOH!" It seems like Kishimoto alters the plot at times as some fans see fit.

Naruto was decent, nothing special though. You're not really missing out.

The first part it was straight awsomeness, but now if you follow it, i can see why people get frustrated with it

The first part upto that Naruto-Sasuke battle was really quite well done imo. Its a lot better than a lot of shows but I think some people get turned off because its a cartoon and seems very immature. The second part is not that great but still worth watching once in a while.

I dont mess with the anime personally, The manga has a less cornier vibe

There are ups and downs to both I guess. The only three anime/mangas I'm interested in right now are naruto, bleach, and vagabond. To tell you the truth I dont know too much about anime/manga but I started liking it since Dragon Ball Z. I remember getting up at like 6 in the morning just to watch it when I was a kid.

I watched the first 87 episodes and it was alright, but i ended up quiting it. The show wasn't interesting enough to make me catch up on so many episodes. I've also heard alot of bad reviews of how it gets full of filler later on and there being a lack of character development, etc.

I think the filler was because they were preparing the second part of naruto so you can basically skip that. Does anybody want to talk about the last chapter of the manga and how you see it progressing from here? I guess this thread will be full of spoilers though.

- Sasuke against the mizukage is gonna be interesting, i was kinda upset how he was dodging Gaara, but im assuming hes making it fast cause of all the chakra hes draining from susanoo and his black flames, I can only assume. They need to bring Naruto into the mix, i need a showdown because it doesnt look like Sasuke is gonna get beaten anytime soon.

- Sasuke is getting a little strange. I cant quite figure his character out or what the hell he is doing. I'm not even sure why he is attacking who he is attacking. I do hope naruto gets in there but I hope he does more than just mass clones and rasengan. I forgot what his sage powers are.
